Our story

What began as a hobby has become a passion for us: to create a unique range of scented candles and other products. The Gaelic name, Oirthir, means coastal and reflects the tranquil setting in which the candles are poured. Our carefully blended fragrances, linked to Scotland’s richness and heritage, are reminiscent of celebrations, happy experiences and lifelong memories.

Our candles are hand poured using natural soy and coconut wax, which is 100% plant-based and contains no palm, beeswax or petroleum-derived materials.

All of our materials are ethically sourced and purchased in the UK where possible to reduce the carbon footprint.
